Parking and parking passes will always be done by me. Unless someone wants to volenteer to help.  Original post in my eyes is wrong about that. Plates can be hand ritten in on the day if i use thebold one. Bit my original goal is a custom one. That being said my cell shoukd be used to inform me someone needs in parking.

As it stands we have 2 turkys cooking donated by scani
Lots of deserts it seems and candy canes and one vegie
I have contributed 60$ wprth of pop myself. With one fur helping me bring that up to 70$. Dans meets normaly run between 120$ to 140$ worh of pop. So not eniff yet and he reaches the hundreds in attendance.

Overall we nees more main dishes. Even if someone orders a party pizza its something. Get ahold of me or post here if your going to add something

I can try and make a good sized portion of my mexi-mac n' cheese. Can someone send me a rough estimate of the total people coming so I can prep a proper sized batch closer to the date?

I should be bringing dips and crackers and perhaps some buns as well.

Along with Coffee, will have tuna pasta salad which I'll be attempting to make myself! Will use vegetable based pasta which is diabetic friendly since my sugar does not spike like normal pasta does. Have not made it in a large quantity before so wish me luck!!

... I'll make as much as I can but I can't guarantee everyone'll get as much as they want. Money is kind of tight but I'll work on a triple batch.

My favourite thing at Christmas dinner is baked sweet potatoes. I just bake them and eat them like baked potatoes. They're very sweet and yummy. For me, it's not quite Christmas without them.

For more than 100 people though, it might be better to scoop them into serving bowls, (I have a bunch), and mix in some margarine and a bit of nutmeg. Would that be okay? And will there be a way to re-heat them? I doubt that they'll still be hot after a long bus ride, then waiting around the kitchen all day.

Greetings one and all, and happy holidays!

Firstly, Furnal Equinox Staff and Volunteers would like to unanimously thank you for your interest in the Christmas Party this year. We do apologize for missing Halloween but we're gunna do our darnedest to bring it back in 2015.

Secondly, we'd also love all the current, and soon-to-be, donations of food and money we have received to date. As you might guess, running an event of this caliber requires a heavy amount of devotion and commitment on volunteers behind it as well as a hefty amount of cash and if I were to be Scrooge for a moment I would proclaim that "unfortunately we give any profits of previous years away to charity, bah humbug and all that". As such, we do our best to pool our funds together so this little shin-dig is bigger and better every year. With your help, however small or large, we can do that!

And on that note, it's such a great sight seeing everyone pitch in and offer up snacks and drink and such for the party but we are still falling just a tad short on proper "Christmas Dinner" type things. Oh, don't get us wrong... we love cookies and cakes and things. I personally took a massive amount home last year and felt guilty about it only to realize there was still, like... 100x what i snagged back at the party!

So I, and other volunteers, ask for your help in offering more for dinner. And it doesn't even have to be anything too pricey! Things like Rice, Ceasar Salad fixings, Potato Dishes, Pasta Dishes... all can be obtained on the cheap and you don't even have to prepare it in advance, if you don't want to. We can prepare stuff at the party  Heck, that's kinda what I'm supposed to do anyways, as I'm sure staring at an oven for 5-6 hours and hoping the turkey doesn't get out and run away will not be a good use of my skill and time in the kitchen xD So I ask you, please, if you have anything you'd like to bring that we can serve with dinner and not as a sugary snack (though again we super appreciate all the offers for those already), please let me or any other volunteers know so we can make note of it!

The F.E. Christmas Party is only 5 days away! Let's pitch in and make this the best Christmas Party yet!
